Te Waihanga is working with Treasury to develop an infrastructure priority list process for New Zealand. The work on the priority list will explore linkages with existing planning and funding processes.
Te Waihanga is developing expert transactional capability and guidance to support the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects by central and local government agencies, and in due course the private sector.
Te Waihanga is a source of best practice advice and counsel. It is mandatory for government agencies to follow its guidance where projects have a total cost of ownership of $50m or more.
Te Waihanga is sometimes asked by the Government to oversee independent reviews into infrastructure and major infrastructure projects. Information on these reviews can be found below.
From time to time Te Waihanga will respond to key issues facing the sector, sometimes partnering with expert advisors in the production of reports or think pieces.
