Transforming infrastructure for all New Zealanders

The National Infrastructure Plan sets out a path for New Zealand’s infrastructure over the next 30 years.

Flooding, which includes both inland and coastal flooding, is already one of New Zealand's most costly natural hazards, and the costs are rising. Climate change is increasing flood frequency and severity, sea levels are rising, and communities and infrastructure networks that were designed for yesterday's conditions will face greater pressure in the decades ahead.

Earlier this year Andy Jinks, Regional Director - Midlands at National Highways UK, spoke at our infrastructure symposium. While Andy was here, Jessie Lea, Special Advisor - Asset Management at Te Waihanga, sat down with him to talk through his experience in improving asset management capability at National Highways and London Underground.
