National Infrastructure Plan
We are working on a National Infrastructure Plan to build a more complete picture of New Zealand’s infrastructure needs and priorities for the short, medium and long term.
New Zealanders have different expectations for what we want and need from our infrastructure – our roads, schools, hospitals, water networks and more. We also need to make some big decisions about getting the infrastructure we need in the right places at the right time, and in a way that’s affordable.
To do this we need to develop a shared, long-term view of our infrastructure expectations and priorities. That’s why we’re working on a National Infrastructure Plan.
In this section
Have your say on the future of New Zealand’s infrastructure system and provide feedback on the draft National Infrastructure Plan.
Read the draft Plan
The draft National Infrastructure Plan sets out how we can address our infrastructure challenges. It looks at what we need to do to fix what’s not working, how we can plan better for the future and shows where our infrastructure dollar will have the greatest impact in meeting New Zealand’s future needs.
Feedback on draft National Infrastructure Plan
We want your feedback on the draft National Infrastructure Plan to see if we're on the right track. Do our recommendations meet our needs? Are we missing any key pieces of the puzzle?
